New Year

So since the new year has begun I've decided to branch out and get more involved in taking pictures. I wanted to start a different project for the year and decided to go with a project called 52 photowalks. I had previously did project 365 in 08 and noticed that even though it did expand my photography of learning my camera by the year end I was completely bored and noticed that I kept taking the same pictures so I decided to try something different. I took my first picture this morning, I was inspired by the snowfall that had rolled in last night... I will post it later on.

My goals for this year with photography are still being defined but I have managed to enroll myself in a studio lighting class and buy my first imac computer, so far I love my mac and can't wait to learn all the amazing things that it has to offer. I'm really looking forward to this new year, I've set many personal goals that I wish to accomplish.


I'm in the process of starting to launch my photo website for anyone who is wondering I just have to figure out how to launch it through my mobileme account on my mac. As soon as that is finished I will be able to showcase all of my work :)

Photoshop Fears

Happy Saturday morning :)

I'm off to take a photoshop 101 class and I'm a bit nervous due to the experience that I had with the digital imaging class that I signed myself up for this past semester that turned into a disaster. However, it's time for me to venture out of my comfort zone and start trying new things so I'm hoping that it will be a good experience. If not it's only 2 hours of my life.

Funny story yesterday there was a firedrill at work so I brought my camera outside because I've been trying to get a picture of this one tree that's yellow and orange and so pretty. Well I didn't get a picture of that exact tree but I did take some of others. But when I got back into work 4 different people were asking me what I was taking pictures of, it was kind of funny but also reminded me that sometimes people get nervous to carry their camera everywhere because other people stare at them but I explained how I'm starting this blog and etc. Moral of the story: people may think you look weird with your camera but they're always curious and you never want to miss out on a great picture! So bring it everywhere.


Disclaimer: Yes I know my website is in a different language, I should've mentioned that before I launched it but it slipped my mind. I'm still working on updating it and will be sure to let you know once it's finished.

Welcome Aboard

Good evening blog stalkers,

I created this blog to post all of the pictures that I plan on taking from this moment forward because I plan on carrying my camera around with me like it's attached to my body.

Tonight after work I wandered across the street to the park to try out this technique called kinetics. Definition of kinetic photography is: an experimental photographic technique in which the photographer uses movements from physics to create an image.

Basically you can shake the camera as much as you want, you can even throw it up in the air and catch it to see what kind of image you get. Unfortunately I'm not adventorous enough to throw my $1000 dollar camera up in the air to see if I still have my catcher skills from high school.

I forgot how much I loved to just go around and shoot a bunch of pictures everyday. The picture that I'm going to post is one that signifies how fast life just passes us by and we often forget about things that make us happy, the picture was taken when I was waiting to go home on the train. I think the picture makes a lot of sense to me I was waiting to go back to something I loved even though life continues to fly by.
